Spooky House

I can't help but think of Norman Bates whenever I see this house.

I only wish that I had better skies, or more interesting clouds for even more drama.

(5 exposures at F9, ISO 100, 12mm)

After I got about 5 shots of this house, a guy drove up and kicked me off the property.

Maybe I should have picked my day more carefully to get good clouds.  Since he asked me to leave, it might be a little ballsy of me to go back on a better day.  Maybe I'll have to buy a disguise!

  2. Norman Bates indeed. Quite the picture and the monotone sky keeps the emphasis on the house.

  7. Great photo....go back on a cloudy day....wear a disguise (like a wig & stash). Love mysterious old Victorian houses. Would have loved to have one years ago. PA, my favorite state, saw them there.

  8. I got caught there a few years back. The Gent and I chatted for awhile over a couple sodas, and he let me take more photos. We came to an understanding, and he stayed there until I was done. Didn't go near, or inside. One of the chimney's had collapsed into the house one year, and that was the end of people going inside.

  9. Thanks for the comment, Tom! If we dealt with the same guy, he wasn't nearly as nice to me, and I was quite cordial to him! Maybe in a bad mood!

  10. Curious as to where this house is located? I didnt see a location for this house. It looks just like one I used to go to as a teenager in Buckeye Lake, OH.
